A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide essential services in an educational setting near Chula Vista, CA. This full-time position offers a chance to make a meaningful impact with one school from late April through the end of the academic year, with potential to continue for the 26-27 school year.
The ideal candidate brings expertise in pediatric speech-language therapy and is comfortable working in both in-person and teletherapy modalities. Candidates with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are both encouraged to apply.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active California SLP License or eligibility to obtain
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or CFY status
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school or healthcare settings
- Familiarity with school-based assessment, IEP documentation, and therapy delivery
- Teletherapy experience is valued
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs
- Deliver direct and consultative services in-person and through teletherapy
- Track and report progress, maintaining accurate documentation
- Work closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Contribute to ongoing IEP meetings and educational planning
