Travel School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - San Antonio, Texas
Providing specialized speech therapy services in an educational setting, this role supports students from PreK through 8th grade across two distinct campuses in San Antonio, TX. The position entails a travel assignment, delivering services on-site at each school during the workweek, enhancing communication skills to empower young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage caseloads of approximately 20-25 students at one campus (grades K-8) and about 37 students at another (grades PreK-3).
- Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations to identify student needs.
- Prepare for and actively participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings.
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLP-As) providing additional support as needed.
- Collaborate with school staff and clinical contacts to ensure smooth acclimation and service delivery.
- Provide bilingual or monolingual speech-language services, adapting to student needs.
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Texas state license through the Department of Licensing and Regulation.
- Demonstrated ability to work with children from diverse age groups, PreK through 8th grade.
- Experience in school-based speech therapy preferred but not required.
- Ability to travel between on-site school locations within San Antonio.
- Strong organizational skills and professional communication for ARD meetings.
