School-Based SLP | Salisbury, North Carolina
Step into an engaging school-based Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity supporting students in a dynamic North Carolina district. This full-time contract position spans the 2026-2027 academic year, with roles primarily situated in the East or Southern areas of the district and a flexible start in mid-August. This assignment is ideal for experienced clinicians and for Clinical Fellows, as supervision can be arranged. You’ll collaborate with an inclusive and supportive special services team, fostering growth and communication for up to 35 students on your caseload.
Qualifications:
- Holds current licensure as an SLP in North Carolina
- CCC-SLP certification or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (slp-cf welcome)
- Previous experience with school-aged children preferred
- Background working with students diagnosed with Autism (AU) and low cognitive disabilities is highly valued
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Committed to collaborative, student-centered care
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy and diagnostic services to assigned students
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor progress
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Complete required documentation in a timely, compliant manner
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights regarding speech-language needs
- Adapt strategies to meet the needs and preferences of diverse student populations
