Pediatric School Speech and Language Pathologist | Saint Petersburg, Florida
A permanent contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support preschool evaluations within a ChildFind program or provide full-time services at a preschool through 8th-grade setting in the Tampa, FL area. This role focuses on early childhood speech and language assessment and therapy opportunities within a vibrant public school district.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations exclusively for 3-year-old preschool children as part of the ChildFind program, or
- Provide comprehensive 5-day-per-week SLP services at a preschool through 8th-grade school.
- Maintain accurate documentation and billing for up to 7.5 hours each day (8 total onsite hours).
- Collaborate with educational teams and engage in telephonic or in-person communication regarding student progress.
- Adhere to Florida state guidelines and school district policies related to speech therapy services.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of Florida.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Candidates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are welcome; supervision support will be provided.
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school environments.
- Strong evaluation and diagnostic skills with 3-year-old preschool children.
- Ability to work onsite exclusively in the Tampa, FL region.
This is an onsite-only role requiring reliable transportation within the district area, offering flexible part-time or full-time workload options depending on placement. Virtual interviews will be conducted to connect with the coordinating team.
