**Overview**
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist for a school-based maternity leave opportunity with St. Johns County School District in St. Augustine, Florida. This is a full-time, onsite-only position covering the first 12 weeks of the 2026–2027 school year.
This is a great opportunity for a Physical Therapist who enjoys supporting students in a school-based setting, collaborating with educational teams, and helping students safely access their learning environment.
**Responsibilities**
Provide school-based physical therapy services to students
Support students with mobility, accessibility, motor development, and functional participation
Deliver direct therapy services based on student needs
Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support planning
Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and service records
Monitor student progress and adjust therapy strategies as needed
Travel between assigned school sites as needed for an itinerant role

**End Date:** October 30, 2026
**Assignment Length:** 12-week maternity leave coverage
**Hours:** Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

**Qualifications**
Active Florida DOH Physical Therapist License required
School-based experience preferred
Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
Ability to provide therapy services in an educational setting
Comfortable working across multiple school sites if needed
Must be available for onsite services only
**Credentialing Requirements**
Fingerprints will need to be completed
Previous fingerprints completed for a Florida school district may still be valid if available through the AHCA Clearinghouse
Once cleared, the provider will apply for a JLA badge
JLA badge processing may take up to 10 business days once cleared
