Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Sahuarita, AZ
Make a meaningful impact on young learners as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist, working directly with K-3rd grade students for the full school year. This in-person, contract opportunity offers you the chance to support one central location and provide essential services to help children build their communication skills. Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid SLP state license or eligibility in Arizona
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred, especially with elementary-age students
- Strong understanding of diverse communication disorders in the early elementary population
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide assessments and evidence-based therapy to K-3 students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and adjust individualized treatment goals in alignment with IEPs
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special educators, and families to maximize student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to school and district policies
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Deliver direct individual and small group therapy sessions
- Empower students and families through education about speech and language supports
