Key qualifications and desired experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Current SLP licensure (or eligibility for licensure) in the state
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates also encouraged
- Prior experience working with pediatric populations in schools or healthcare settings highly valued
- Skilled in teletherapy practices, with comfort using digital platforms for remote services
- Strong ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students in need
- Develop and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide direct therapy services—in-person or via teletherapy—to address each student’s unique communication challenges
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Consult with teachers, families, and staff to support generalization of skills into the classroom and at home
- Stay up-to-date on best practices and participate in professional development as needed
