SLP in Ruskin, FL
Step into a dynamic school-based role supporting students’ communication and language development as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This is a full-time contract opportunity beginning August 10, 2026, running through May 27, 2027. You’ll be working on-site at public school campuses in the vibrant area near Ruskin, FL, with specific school assignments determined based on current needs.
Your students will range in age, as caseloads and responsibilities are aligned to your experience and strengths. By working closely with educators and related support staff, you’ll make a real difference in the lives of children and young adults.
What we’re looking for:
- Active Florida Speech-Language Pathology license
- Master’s degree in SLP preferred (will consider candidates with a relevant bachelor’s degree)
- Open to Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates
- Background in school-based SLP settings highly desirable
- Strong collaboration skills and a student-centered mindset
- Ability to adapt to diverse caseloads and changing environments
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Conducting speech, language, and hearing screenings and assessments
- Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans based on student needs
- Completing timely, accurate documentation in accordance with school policies
- Engaging with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to support student outcomes
- Participating in IEP meetings and progress reviews
- Possibly traveling within a cluster of assigned schools
