An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work in a dynamic school-based environment. This full-time contract role runs from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with approximately 33.25 hours per week onsite. This position places you in a supportive educational setting near Round Lake, IL, collaborating with students, educators, and families to make a meaningful impact on daily communication and academic progress.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Active SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
- Valid state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience providing speech/language services in a school setting is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families
- Knowledge of IEP processes and data-driven therapy planning
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments and screenings for students
- Develop tailored treatment plans and interventions in alignment with IEP goals
- Deliver direct, in-person therapy to students as outlined in their educational programs
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student planning
- Consult with classroom teachers and support staff to maximize student success
