Pediatric High School School Speech and Language Pathologist | Machesney Park, Illinois
Step into a rewarding opportunity working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supporting the needs of a vibrant educational community. This contract position offers full-time hours over the 2026-2027 school year, providing essential speech and language services to learners at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.
You’ll collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to design and implement effective interventions, helping students build crucial communication skills that pave the way for academic and social success. Whether you’re an experienced pediatric SLP or completing your Clinical Fellowship Year, your expertise will contribute to a supportive learning environment where every child’s voice matters.
Qualifications:
- Active SLP license and PEL with Speech-Language Pathology Endorsement (SLP-PEL)
- Experience or strong interest in working within school settings (elementary, middle, and high school)
- Open to SLP professionals, including CFY candidates
- Expertise in evaluating, diagnosing, and providing therapy for a variety of speech and language disorders
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students in grades K-12
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and family conferences
