This full-time, contract role runs from early August through late May, and will see you working on campus, collaborating closely with special education teams to deliver high-quality, in-person speech-language services. You’ll be instrumental in helping students achieve their goals by participating in IEP meetings, conducting thorough evaluations, and crafting individualized plans.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active NCDPI Speech-Language Pathologist license (must provide documentation with application)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Prior experience in a school setting with school-aged children
- Familiarity with ECATS (Education Casework and Tracking System) required
- Proven expertise writing IEPs and developing student goals
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, in-person speech therapy services as outlined in students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and screenings for identified students
- Develop present levels of performance and measurable annual goals as part of the IEP process
- Actively participate in IEP meetings as a member of the multidisciplinary team
- Maintain an organized caseload (no more than 50 students) ensuring timely documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
