Step into a rewarding role supporting high school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) for a new school year opportunity. This contract position offers a flexible, part-time schedule—work any three days each week, with Tuesday as a required day, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. You’ll work with a manageable caseload of no more than 30 students in grades 9-12, providing targeted speech and language services that foster communication and academic success.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Hold a current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Licensed as an SLP in Illinois or eligible for licensure
- Previous experience serving high school-age students is highly valued
- Comfortable managing an organized caseload and collaborating within a multidisciplinary school team
- Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs and documenting progress
- Strong interpersonal communication and flexibility with scheduling
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations for speech and language needs
- Provide direct therapy services to students in grades 9-12
- Develop personalized treatment plans and participate actively in IEP meetings
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to ensure holistic student support
- Maintain thorough documentation, tracking student progress and compliance with school and district standards
