Qualifications and Background:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings
- Solid understanding of best practices in assessment and intervention for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate seamlessly with educators, families, and school staff
- Ability to adapt communication style to meet diverse student needs
- ASHA certification required
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations for students referred for assessment
- Develop and implement individualized education plan (IEP) goals in alignment with school and state guidelines
- Provide direct therapy for students with a variety of speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and family members to support student progress
- Maintain documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and district policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise to multi-disciplinary teams
- Offer consultation and training to school staff as needed
