This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide speech-language pathology services in an educational setting located in Reading, PA. The assignment runs ASAP through the end of the school year (EOSY) and includes an extended school year (ESY) opportunity. Services are needed for both elementary and high school students across two locations approximately 15 minutes apart, serving a total of 45 students.
Responsibilities include assessing, planning, and delivering individualized speech therapy services with an emphasis on speech needs, AAC (augmentative and alternative communication), and autism support. Collaboration with educators and support staff to develop effective communication strategies and interventions is essential in this role.
Desired qualifications and skills:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Experience working as a school-based SLP
- Familiarity with AAC devices and techniques
- Knowledge of autism spectrum disorder and related communication challenges
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage caseloads in multiple locations
