School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Portsmouth, Virginia

Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Hold or in the process of obtaining valid SLP licensure for the state of Virginia
- Experience or strong interest in K-12 educational settings
- Will consider Clinical Fellows (CFY) or those with SLPA backgrounds
- Ability to deliver services in-person; teletherapy experience a plus but not required
- Comfortable traveling between multiple school sites during the workweek
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative mindset for working within multidisciplinary teams
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to K-12 students across four school buildings
- Participate in individual education plan (IEP) meetings, providing assessment-informed recommendations
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, progress monitoring, and documentation in line with district and state requirements
- Liaise with educators, families, and support staff to ensure continuity of care
- Support and potentially mentor SLPA and CF staff members
- Adapt to various school environments while maintaining a consistent schedule (approx. 7:30am–3:00pm)
