Oregon Licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) are sought for two full-time positions providing specialized student services within school settings in Portland, OR. These roles involve direct assessment, instruction, and support for students with language impairments across diverse educational environments, including a multi-site travel assignment within Multnomah County.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess speech, language, and hearing to determine student needs and service levels.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) focused on speech and language goals.
  • Implement and oversee augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems tailored to individual students.
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive student support.
  • Provide coaching and training to staff, parents, and community members on AAC use and speech-language interventions.
  • Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) staff.
  • Document services accurately for Medicaid billing and compliance.
  • Attend all required meetings and maintain consistent attendance to ensure continuity of services.
  • Travel across multiple educational sites within Multnomah County for position two, with flexibility for less than full-time candidates.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Oregon licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
  • Experience working in school-based settings with diverse student populations.
  • Proficiency with AAC systems and ability to customize interventions.
  • Strong communication skills, equity-minded approach, and collaborative spirit.
  • Commitment to punctuality and consistent attendance.

Work Schedule and Locations:

  • Position 1: Full-time (1.0 FTE), Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day with an unpaid lunch break, based primarily at a fixed school location.
  • Position 2: Full-time or part-time (less than 1.0 FTE considered), involving travel to multiple sites within Multnomah County.
