A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year in Southeast Florida. This contract position involves working onsite within public schools serving children in the local school district.
Location: Okeechobee, FL (Southeast Florida Coast)
Position Type: Full-Time Contract (37.5 hours/week)
Assignment Dates: August 10, 2026 – May 28, 2027
Number of Schools: 1-2, depending on assignment
Caseload: Serving school-aged children (varies by site)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students in a school setting
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and track progress
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student communication needs
- Maintain compliance with local and state regulatory requirements and school policies
- Participate in team meetings and professional development as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active SLP licensure in Florida is mandatory
- Preference given to candidates with CCC-SLP certification
- Candidates with Clinical Fellowship (CF) status may be considered if supervision is available
- Fingerprint clearance required; potentially able to use Department of Health prints
- School-based experience is highly valued
