A dynamic opportunity is available for licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support K-12 students in a contract role spanning the 2025-2026 school year. This position requires full-time and part-time commitment across various schools located in Vero Beach, FL, and nearby communities. The role is on-site with no hybrid or VOCO options, emphasizing direct interaction with students and school staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy services to K-12 students, including individualized interventions tailored to student needs.
  • Conduct evaluations, particularly as part of a Private School Evaluation Team, requiring CCC-SLP certification.
  • Collaborate with school personnel and families to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Manage caseloads in multiple settings such as middle schools, K-8 campuses, and DHH cluster sites.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Active Florida SLP licensure is mandatory.
  • Experience working in school settings with diverse student populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • CCC-SLP certification preferred for evaluation team participation.
  • Flexibility to cover full and part-time schedules across multiple campuses.

Locations and Schedule Details:

  • Dan McCarty Middle School (4 days/week) and Forest Grove Middle School (1 day/week) in Ft. Pierce, FL.
  • Oak Hammock K-8 in Port St. Lucie, FL, with a 2-day/week schedule.
  • Private School Evaluation Team at a district office in Port St. Lucie, 1 day/week through May 2025.
  • Most assignments involve one campus, with occasional multi-site responsibilities.
