Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for Speech Language Pathology in schools
- Prior experience in school-based settings highly preferred
- Strong background working with AAC devices and strategies
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) with measurable goals
- Deliver direct and consultative services, both individually and in groups, to support student progress
- Integrate AAC technologies and resources to maximize student participation and independence
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and document compliance in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Engage in IEP meetings, staff debriefs, and ongoing professional development
- Serve as a resource for staff and families on speech-language disorders and intervention techniques
