School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Placerville, California
Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting the communication needs of school-aged children across picturesque El Dorado County. Multiple openings are available for certified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year, with service locations stretching from El Dorado Hills to Camino. This role offers the chance to work with diverse student populations, mild to moderate caseloads (and occasional severe cases), and to travel between sites as needed. Flexibility is key—assignments may shift during the semester based on district needs.
Candidates who enjoy variety in their week and are comfortable traveling will thrive in this itinerant environment. The district welcomes both CFs and SLPAs, provided that onsite SLP supervision is assured. Prior experience in California schools or SEIS is a plus, but the main requirement is a current California SLP license. No additional district or local licensure is necessary.
Qualifications:
- Current California SLP license (CCC-SLP required for SLP applicants)
- Schools experience and/or familiarity with SEIS preferred
- Mild to moderate caseload experience; some severe caseload exposure a bonus
- Flexible and willing to travel across various school sites within the county
- Open to SLPs, CFs, and SLPAs (with provision for onsite supervision)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to K-12 students
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state requirements
- Adjust to changing site assignments and student needs as required
