This school-based Speech-Language Pathologist position offers a dynamic, full-time schedule within a collaborative educational setting. Your expertise will benefit students across multiple campuses, providing valuable services and making a real difference throughout Washington and Greene Counties.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- PA SLP Educator Certificate is required
- Experience working in school settings or similar environments, supporting children’s speech and language development
- Willingness and ability to travel between Bethlehem-Center Elementary (half-day), Fort Cherry Elementary (two days), and Waynesburg (two days) each week
- Strong organizational skills to manage a varied caseload efficiently
- Collaborative spirit, able to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services as outlined in student IEPs, using evidence-based practices
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation for each student serviced
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team decision-making
- Provide support to staff and families, guiding them in fostering communication improvements
- Stay current on best practices and ensure compliance with all state and federal guidelines
This role begins with comprehensive training on August 13th, 14th, and 17th, then transitions to a regular work schedule from 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM, aligned with the academic year through June 9th. The ideal candidate values flexibility, embraces travel, and is committed to excellence in student care.
