What you’ll do:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to a diverse K-12 student population in alignment with IEP goals.
- Assess, diagnose, and design intervention plans for students with speech, language, or communication disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to facilitate student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and clear communication regarding students’ speech and language needs.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and school guidelines.
- Offer support and training to staff and families on communication strategies and interventions.
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet a range of learning styles and developmental needs within the school setting.
Your credentials:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Valid state licensure as required for school-based SLP services.
- Previous experience in a school environment highly preferred.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
