School Speech Language Pathologist - Phoenix, Arizona
A contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support K-8 students in Phoenix, AZ. This role involves providing therapy and assessment services across one K-8 school and two specialized programs—one serving behavioral students and another supporting students with multiple disabilities. The position offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, starting ASAP through the end of the school year.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for K-8 students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s unique needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure integrated care and progress monitoring.
- Provide services within both general education settings and specialized programs focused on behavioral and multiple disability populations.
- Maintain detailed documentation and IEP compliance in accordance with school policies.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or experience working under supervision if CFY is pending.
- Previous experience as a School-Based SLP supporting diverse student populations including K-8 age range.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based speech and language intervention strategies for behavioral and multiple disability programs.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Location: Phoenix, Arizona (Travel not required; local assignment)
