This travel position supports students aged 3–21, working from late August through mid-June. You will manage a caseload of 25–40 students, primarily non-verbal with visual, cognitive, orthopedic, and medical needs. The role challenges you to develop and implement individualized communication systems—ranging from high-tech AAC devices to tactile and low-tech solutions—integrated thoughtfully into daily routines for optimal independence and growth.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Valid SLP license (Pennsylvania or eligibility for reciprocity)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
  • Experience with AAC devices and alternative communication systems preferred
  • Previous work with children or young adults with multiple disabilities is advantageous

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and track individualized therapy plans emphasizing functional communication
  • Deliver direct, consultative, and group therapy services during school hours
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and families to support student goals
  • Document progress and update IEPs as required
  • Promote independence and functional skill growth
