This role offers a dynamic caseload of approximately 60 students spanning preschools, elementary, middle, and high school settings, allowing you to make a significant impact in diverse educational environments.
Required skills and credentials:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA (CFs may be considered based on experience)
- Active Alabama SLP license and Alabama SLP Educator certificate
- Fingerprinting and background clearance per state requirements
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Experience providing assessment, treatment, and documentation for students in a school-based setting is highly valued
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services onsite across assigned schools (no virtual/remote work)
- Manage a caseload of around 60 students from preschool to high school age
- Conduct evaluations, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and monitor student progress
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Maintain accurate and timely records aligned with federal, state, and district guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and support special education teams as needed
This contract appointment runs from August 4, 2026, through May 27, 2027. Hours average 37.5 per week. You'll have the opportunity to support growing learners in a collaborative, mission-driven environment, and build lasting professional relationships across a supportive network of schools.
