Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Current state licensure or eligibility as an SLP in Alabama
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly valued
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Superb communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver diagnostic and therapeutic interventions to K-12 students with speech, language, and communication difficulties
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with federal, state, and school guidelines
- Participate in student evaluations, re-evaluations, and progress assessments
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, parents, and other support staff to address student needs
- Provide guidance and resources to educators regarding communication strategies in the classroom
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the school and regulatory guidelines
