What you’ll bring:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid state licensure for speech-language pathology (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, parents, and other related service providers
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
Daily responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and monitor individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s goals
- Provide direct and indirect therapy services within classroom or pull-out settings
- Collaborate with general and special education teachers to create supportive learning environments
- Participate in IEP meetings, document progress, and maintain thorough, timely records
- Engage families in the therapeutic process by offering regular updates and recommendations
- Serve as a valuable resource to faculty on emerging best practices in speech and language intervention
