Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current and active Texas SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience in pediatric settings, particularly with school-aged children, is preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and specialized education protocols in a school environment
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage and organize a dynamic caseload encompassing both elementary and secondary grade levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and create treatment plans for students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions, tailoring interventions to age and developmental stage
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and advocating for students’ needs
- Track student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and provide regular updates to families and educational staff
- Consult with classroom teachers to integrate communication goals across academic settings
