In this position, you’ll enjoy working with a diverse caseload of approximately 60 students, traveling between multiple school sites, and collaborating closely with experienced educational staff. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about school-based speech therapy and is ready to adapt to a dynamic, supportive environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working in school settings strongly preferred
- Familiarity with a variety of speech and language disorders affecting school-aged children
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) for Texas
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple school assignments efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech and language services to assigned students
- Conduct thorough assessments and participate in evaluation teams
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate records and thorough documentation in accordance with school standards
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other service providers
- Travel between school sites within the district as assigned
- Participate in meetings and provide progress updates to the Coordinator of Evaluations
