Speech Language Pathologist in Paterson, NJ

An essential requirement for this position is prior experience in utilizing AAC devices, ensuring each student receives tailored support to achieve their communication goals.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current and valid SLP license / eligibility in New Jersey
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
- Demonstrated experience with pediatric populations, especially in school settings
- Proficiency with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices
- Familiarity with ABA programs preferred
- Exceptional communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy to students in PreK-8, with emphasis on PreK-4
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Work closely with special education staff, families, and the ABA program team
- Participate in IEP meetings, documenting progress and recommending needs
- Provide training and support on AAC devices to staff and families
- Maintain timely records and compliance with district and state requirements
