Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving students in a lively educational setting near Palm Desert, CA. This position is full-time for the 2026/2027 school year, dedicated to helping PreK learners reach their communication milestones. The assignment is onsite only, as in-person support is a key priority for the clients at this time. Key Qualifications:

  • Valid SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or be working towards clinical fellowship
  • California Certificate of Clearance (COC) required
  • Experience in school-based SLP preferred, particularly with SEIS documentation systems
  • Familiarity with California Medicaid billing (Paradigm) highly regarded
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) applicants are strongly preferred
  • Previous experience with AAC devices and supporting mild to moderate (and some severe) student needs
  • Ability to adapt to a potential itinerant schedule covering multiple sites
  • Open to both experienced clinicians and new graduates ready to begin their clinical fellowship year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services for a predominantly PreK caseload
  • Develop, implement, and track IEP goals for students with varying communication needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and fellow professionals to foster student growth
  • Maintain timely paperwork and compliance standards, including SEIS and Medicaid documentation
  • Utilize AAC devices and communication tools to support student success
