Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Florida SLP licensure required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- School experience preferred, especially with K-8 or high school populations
- Ability to adapt smoothly to new school environments and work collegially with existing SLP or SLPA staff
- As district credentialing is time-sensitive, prior fingerprints in the AHCA Clearinghouse are helpful
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to a defined student caseload
- Conduct evaluations, develop IEP goals, and maintain thorough documentation
- Collaborate with staff, teachers, and families to support student communication needs
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team planning
- Effectively balance responsibilities across assigned campus with a 35-hour weekly schedule
