Three openings are available to serve diverse school settings, each with a dedicated caseload and the chance to have a meaningful impact while working alongside professional peers. Assignments align with maternity leave coverage needs, ensuring continuity of care for students in K-8 and high school settings. Each SLP will be assigned to a single school for the duration of their assignment, fostering strong relationships and focused service delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Active Florida SLP Licensure
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Experience with K-8 and/or high school populations, including students with ASD, is valuable
- Ability to collaborate with other SLPs and support staff
- Willingness to complete timely district credentialing and fingerprinting requirements (AHCA Clearinghouse prints may be accepted for faster onboarding)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide direct speech and language therapy services to assigned students
- Develop and implement IEP goals in close coordination with the IEP team
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reporting
- Consult regularly with educators, parents, and fellow therapists
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams
- Support generalization of communication skills within the classroom setting
