A School-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in the Southeast Florida Coast area, specifically in Palm City, FL. This contract role focuses primarily on conducting evaluations to assist the district in managing backlog cases, with particular emphasis on Autism student evaluations. Both full-time and part-time positions are available, supporting one to two schools depending on assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform speech and language evaluations, with experience in Autism evaluations prioritized.
- Provide services at assigned schools, which may include Oak Hammock K-8 in Port St. Lucie, and CA Moore K-7 and FK Sweet Elementary in Ft. Pierce.
- Collaborate with onsite SLP and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants in specialized settings such as the DHH Cluster Site at Oak Hammock and ASD units at FK Sweet Elementary.
- Support students across early childhood and elementary age groups.
- Maintain all required documentation and comply with district guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist licensure.
- Proven experience completing evaluations for students with Autism.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite as fingerprinting clearance is required.
- Previous school-based experience preferred but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Location & Schedule:
- Onsite in Palm City, FL, servicing schools in Port St. Lucie and Ft. Pierce.
- Full-time or part-time roles available.
- Oak Hammock K-8 schedule: 2 days per week.
- CA Moore K-7 and FK Sweet Elementary schedule: 5 days per week or split part-time.
