School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Pacoima, California

This contract opportunity is ideal for skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistants who thrive working closely with SLPs in junior high or high school environments. Starting August 11 and concluding June 3, you’ll provide valuable assistance to speech-language pathologists and help give students targeted support for success.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
- Familiarity supporting SLPs with both individual and group therapy sessions
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist SLPs in delivering speech and language therapy to students in junior high or high school
- Implement intervention plans and document student progress under the supervision of a certified SLP
- Prepare materials and activities to support therapy sessions
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to further students’ communication goals
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and district guidelines
- Participate in meetings and professional development as required
