- Schedule: Full-Time
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Daily Schedule: 7.5-hour workday with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
- Student Population: Elementary School
- School Sites: 2–3 school locations
- Mileage Reimbursement: Paid travel between assigned school sites
- Caseload: Approximately 46 students (+/- based on district needs and experience)
- IEP System: SIRAS / AbleSpace
Speech-Language Pathologist Responsibilities
As a School Speech-Language Pathologist, you will:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students with communication disorders
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and assessments
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Create measurable IEP goals and objectives
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Maintain accurate, compliant, and timely documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and support staff
- Support students in achieving academic and communication success
- Manage caseload responsibilities in accordance with district guidelines
Qualifications Required
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active California Speech-Language Pathologist License or eligibility for licensure
- Ability to work within a school-based environment
- Successful completion of all district onboarding requirements, including fingerprinting if required
Preferred
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous school-based SLP experience
- Experience with IEP development and special education services
Compensation
- Competitive pay based on experience
- Weekly hours guaranteed at 37.5 hours
