Key Qualifications:
- Valid Florida Department of Health license for Speech Language Pathology (CCC required)
- Experience supporting school-aged populations, ideally across varied grade levels
- Strong organizational skills for managing itinerant assignments and diverse caseloads (estimated at 60 students, subject to adjustment)
- Completion of fingerprinting per Florida Department of Health and AHCA Clearinghouse requirements; prompt action required for credentialing
- Enthusiasm for working collaboratively in educational settings, adapting therapy to different ages and school cultures
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy across several school sites on a set itinerary
- Assess, develop, and implement practical IEP goals for students with mild to moderate communication needs
- Consult regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress and generalization of skills
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation aligned with state and district guidelines
- Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP team discussions, and ongoing professional development as related to school-based practice
