Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Ocala, Florida
Step into an enriching contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. In this full-time, Monday through Friday position, you’ll make a meaningful impact working with a diverse student caseload while collaborating with a welcoming and encouraging team. Utilize your expertise across in-person or teletherapy settings as you support students in reaching their communication goals. Your exposure to areas such as AAC devices and behavioral strategies will be valued, but are not prerequisites—your willingness to learn and enthusiasm for student growth are most important.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure or eligibility
- Ability to obtain ASHA CCCs (required for some positions, but CFs welcomed and supported)
- Experience with elementary-age students or strong interest in pediatrics
- Comfort with or interest in teletherapy platforms
- AAC device and behavioral intervention experience advantageous
- Collaborative spirit and eagerness to participate in team settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessments, therapy, and progress monitoring for elementary learners
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Consult with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary professionals
- Document services and student progress in compliance with school guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student-centered planning
- Foster confidence and communication skills that help students thrive academically and socially
