Travel School Speech Language Pathologist - Oak Lawn, Illinois
Located in Oak Lawn, IL, this part-time, travel-based Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) role offers an opportunity to provide essential therapy services to students during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This position runs from June 10th through July 9th, with a schedule of 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, totaling 17 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver speech-language therapy targeting assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and receptive and expressive language delays.
- Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing as appropriate.
- Prepare detailed, clear, and insightful reports following student assessments and observations.
- Work effectively with students aged 2 to 22 years old, including those with moderate to severe disabilities.
- Develop, update, and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives.
- Communicate and collaborate with parents and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
Qualifications:
- Must hold or be eligible for an Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) license and a Professional Educator License (PEL).
- Experience working in school settings is advantageous but not required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
- Flexibility and problem-solving aptitude.
