Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current California SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Previous schools-based experience preferred
- Experience supervising SLPAs and providing guidance
- Proficiency in developing, implementing, and writing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong organizational skills and effective communication abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and tailored intervention for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Craft and maintain comprehensive, compliant IEPs focused on student progress and individualized goals
- Supervise and mentor Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), supporting their professional development and caseload management
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to ensure cohesive support
- Maintain thorough records and adhere to district and statewide guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing student review processes
