Step into a rewarding contract position where your expertise as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) will directly support students’ growth and development in a high school or junior high setting. Beginning in August and running through early June, this role offers the chance to become a valued collaborator alongside SLPs dedicated to making a meaningful impact on young lives.
Your week will offer structured hours—30 per week, Monday through Friday—providing both consistency and the ability to contribute significantly to student success. This is an ideal match for those passionate about school-based speech and language support, ready to empower students in their communication skills throughout the academic year.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA credential with experience or interest in school-based services
- Familiarity with CCC-SLP and school SLP methodologies
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Compassion and adaptability to meet students’ individual needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to supervising SLPs with student interventions and therapy
- Assist in implementing speech and language therapy plans within the classroom or designated environment
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress under SLP direction
- Prepare materials and resources to support therapy and communication goals
- Foster a positive, encouraging environment for all students
