Multiple contract openings are currently available, with flexible scheduling options (full-time or part-time, a minimum of 2 days per week). These roles offer the chance to make a difference across various schools and locations in the Norristown, Aston, and Broomall areas.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Valid PDE (Pennsylvania Department of Education) Certification
- Experience in school settings preferred, especially with K-12 children
- Familiarity with working in specialized programs such as Autistic support classrooms is a plus
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and travel between sites as needed
- Commitment to beginning assignment as soon as possible
Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to assigned students in school-based environments
- Work directly within an Autistic support classroom in Aston and/or provide itinerant therapy at various school and community sites
- Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Complete comprehensive assessments, provide documentation, and track student progress
- Engage with families and school personnel to support students’ communication needs
- Serve students both in classroom and community outreach settings, supporting varying caseloads across locations like Media, Brookhaven, Glen Mills, Upper Darby, Bryn Mawr, and more
