A K-12 Speech-Language Pathologist is needed for a contract position in Allentown, PA, supporting a diverse student population across two nearby locations. This role focuses on providing therapy services for approximately 45 students, addressing speech needs with an emphasis on AAC and Autism.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy to K-12 students with diverse communication needs
- Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to students requiring AAC support and Autism-related interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in evaluations and IEP meetings
- Support both elementary and high school students across two sites approximately 15 minutes apart
- Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC credential
- Experience in school-based settings preferred, particularly working with AAC and Autism
- Ability to manage caseload across multiple locations efficiently
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
- Flexibility to cover ESY (Extended School Year) services during the summer
