Elementary Remote School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Roanoke, Virginia
Embark on a rewarding school-based assignment, providing virtual speech-language pathology services for elementary and middle school students. What You’ll Need:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Prior experience delivering pediatric SLP services, ideally in an elementary or middle school setting
- Comfortable managing a caseload of approximately 50 students in a remote format
- Reliable internet connection and proficiency with virtual platforms for teletherapy
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and adhere to school and district guidelines
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct virtual assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and provide ongoing therapy for students in need of speech and language support
- Collaborate with educators, families, and school staff to align interventions with academic goals
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in required meetings remotely
- Adapt therapy techniques for the unique needs of both elementary and middle school-aged students
- Ensure a positive and engaging teletherapy environment
