School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Norfolk, Virginia

Desired skills and qualifications:
- Current license or eligibility to practice as an SLP in Virginia
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting (preferred, not required)
- Strong communication, organization, and collaborative skills
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders in school-aged children
- Familiarity with IEP process and IDEA guidelines
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting screenings, evaluations, and assessments
- Developing and implementing individualized therapy sessions
- Collaborating with teaching staff and families to support student progress
- Maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with district and legal requirements
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary teams
- Staying current on best practices and maintaining professional development
