You’ll play a crucial part in fostering language development, providing services in a variety of specialized settings that may include communication support, behavior support, or multiple disabilities classrooms.
Qualifications:
- Hold (or be eligible for) the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC), or be entering your Clinical Fellowship (CF) year.
- Experience in school-based SLP environments preferred, but strong new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with supporting diverse communication needs in K–12, especially in specialized classrooms, is highly valued.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Flexibility to serve students at one or two school locations as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to students with varied communication needs in accordance with IEPs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Serve students in communication support, behavior support, or multiple disabilities classrooms.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and maintain accurate documentation.
- Offer consultative services, resources, and coaching to staff and families.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing student progress monitoring.
