Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Yorktown, VA
Step into a key role supporting K–12 students as an Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year. As an essential part of the educational team, you’ll foster student growth and independence by addressing fine motor, sensory, visual-motor, and self-regulation needs across all grade levels. What You’ll Bring:
- Valid state Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain)
- NBCOT certification is preferred
- Background working with pediatric or school-based settings is advantageous
- Familiarity with assistive technology and sensory strategies is beneficial
- Strong collaboration skills for partnering with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions
- Develop and implement IEP/504 goals and accommodations for students
- Offer direct therapy services, push-in classroom support, and consultative guidance for staff
- Adapt educational equipment and classroom environments to help students achieve greater independence
- Maintain thorough documentation and monitor student progress
- Actively engage in collaborative meetings to support student-centered solutions
