Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Paterson, NJ

This flexible assignment spans late May through June, with the possibility of resuming in the fall through November 2026, covering the regular academic year. You'll also have the option to participate in Extended School Year (ESY) programming during July and August.
In this role, you'll provide essential speech and language services to a growing caseload—currently 27 individual students, with Early Intervention referrals expected to increase the number. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, implementing customized therapy for both individual and group settings, and collaborating with educators and families to shape IEP goals. Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices is highly valued, as you will have the opportunity to enhance communication for students with complex needs. Participation in IEP meetings will be an essential element of your day-to-day engagement, fostering ongoing collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid CCC-SLP or eligibility for CFY supervision
- School-based and/or pediatric SLP experience
- Teletherapy experience is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement treatment plans for Pre-K students
- Experience with AAC devices strongly preferred
- Skill in evaluation, documentation, and collaboration within an IEP framework
- Flexibility to potentially work with ESY and Early Intervention caseloads
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to Pre-K and school-aged students
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings
- Consult with teachers, specialists, and families
- Support students referred from Early Intervention programs
