An opportunity is available for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to provide leave coverage at a K-12 school located in Newark, NJ. This contract position involves supporting students across all grade levels, delivering essential speech and language services during an extended leave period. The role begins immediately and runs through February, followed by an additional leave coverage assignment continuing until October.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students with diverse communication needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's goals.
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other specialists to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and services.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive educational environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist with experience working in K-12 educational settings.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders common among school-age children.
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently and provide consistent therapy services.
