Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a School Speech-Language Pathologist, working closely with students from PreK3 to 3rd grade. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about providing high-quality speech and language services within a supportive educational environment. You’ll collaborate with another experienced SLP to serve a caseload of 40-50 students with mild to moderate disabilities.
Your schedule runs full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 3:00pm, offering a healthy work-life balance. You'll have the chance to make a measurable impact on elementary students’ communication skills during the school year, starting August 24, 2026, through June 30, 2027.
Qualifications:
- Current Maryland Department of Health Certification in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Comfortable supporting caseloads of 40-50 students, alongside another SLP
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student assessments
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of student progress
- Consult and collaborate with classroom staff and families to support carryover of services
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams within the school
